Born on 29 November 1916 in Cracow, son of Wladyslaw and Maria. In 1936 he graduated from the Henryk Sienkiewicz Secondary School. In January 1937 he joined the Air Force Reserve Cadet Officers' School, and upon graduation, in October 1937 the Air Force Cadet Officers' School at Deblin. He was commissioned in the 12th Class on 1 August 1939, but already in June 1939 posted to the 2nd Air Regiment in Cracow
where in August he was attached to the 122nd Fighter Flight. In the 1939 campaign he fought in the 122nd Flight which was attached to the 'Krakow' Army during the mobilisation. On 19 September he entered Rumania with the road party. Then by sea he went to France, arriving there on 29 October. He went to Britain in one of the first groups in January 1940. He received service no. 76736. On 8 August 1940 he was posted to No. 32 Squadron RAF, on 13 September 1940 he was reposted do No. 607 Squadron RAF, and on 17 September to No. 213 Squadron RAF. He was killed on 1 November 1940, shot down in Hawker Hurricane I N2608 AK-V about 9 miles south-west of Chichester. He was buried at Chichester, Sussex, grave no. 45.
